Changin' Times

Well, thanks to the economic conditions, and partly to help businesses advertise in a more cost-effective manner, HotKarz.com is now accepting a limited number of advertisers.

If you look at our Home Page, you will see a couple of ads on the left of the page. We are making just 4 ad slots available on each HotKarz page (so as not to over-crowd, or take away from the ads).

Ads are inexpensive and can be on any page of the advertisers choice (limit 4 ads per page, so check availability by emailing me at ptwoodycrew@aol.com). Advertisers may also request a link from this HotKarz Blog, our most popular feature. Our blog receives over 220,000 hits each year. Businesses that cater to us car folks will not find a more targeted audience than HotKarz.

And remember - the advertiser can choose the page they want to advertise on, if available. That means the Lions Club, for example, could place their ad on a Lions Club Show Winners page. A car parts store or auto body person could place theirs on the PROJECTS page. This allows even a more targeted audience.

So, if you have a business that revolves around people like us car fan-atics, consider placing an ad. For the cost of a tiny classified in the newspaper for a couple weeks you COULD have a neat picture ad aimed at a very targeted bunch of folks for a full year. And we do accept credit and debit cards online for easy payment, as well as checks or cash.

And if you KNOW someone with such a business, please tell them about this advertising opportunity. It will benefit them, the customers, and HotKarz, helping us to keep this site up and running for all to enjoy.

With each ad, HotKarz will give the advertiser a HotKarz.com T-shirt, while supplies last.

For more info, check out our RATES page, or email me.

What A Day!

Got up this morning (which was the one thing that went right) to find that the HOTKARZ.COM blog was down. Seems Google had problems today. Then, the HOTKARZ.COM website went down - seems the webhost also had serious problems, and could not get the site back up until moments ago. Meanwhile, Google also got the blog back up.

It appears this was a bad day on the Internet - at least for some. But all appears well once again. For now.

Well, folks, so far, according to Weatherbug, Sunday (Bonny Eagle) does not look too inviting...but we'll be there, nonetheless, unless it's pouring.

Larry's Impala

Larry Cote's Impala will soon be ready for the road, it seems. Here is his latest letter4, along with a couple of pix:

"I wanted to send a couple more pictures for the web site. The new turbo engine, tranny and rebuilt differential are finally in place. While every thing was out I decided to clean up the under carriage. The rebuilt wire harnesses are in place, few extra wire that I am looking for a home for them. Hoping the body shop will be here by next Saturday to install the nose. Then initial startup, tune the ECM, four quarter mile runs for break in, paint shop for the new RamAir hood then it's road time I pray."

Good luck, Larry. Too bad you may not be ready for Bonny Eagle.

Feature & Madison Winners

Well, the season is in full swing. That means there will be regular (?) changes in the "Featured Vehicle" page. A new one has just been put up - check out Dave Delorey's kool '52 GMC pickup.

The "Best Of" for the Madison show are also up - please check them out and cast a vote for your fave. Pix of the show, itself, are also up in the Gallery.

I also have the Winner's Circle pix up for Medomak and Madison.

Enjoy! And hope to see y'all at Bonny Eagle on Sunday.

Madison Part II

Well, it's after 3 in the morning. Lost power for a few hours, so I won't be getting the Madison pix up until later today. Sorry folks, but whenever Mother Nature sneezes, CMP is down for hours, or days.
